The naming ceremony at which Staines will officially become Staine upon Thames is taking place on Sunday 20th May.
There is a wide range of activities and entertainment happening throughout the day which is based in the Memorial Gardens by the river.
The town’s rich heritage, history and tradition will be celebrated with an exhibition from Spelthorne Museum, the unveiling of the replica London Stone and the sealing of the 2012 Time Capsule.
